// Weekly Updates Below // On Memorial Day Weekend, 2004, Siempre Para Los Ninos, a Children’s Home in Tijuana, Mexico, was built by Central Community members. The purpose of building Siempre was to change the meaning of the word “always” from one of desperation to one of hope. Always shelter, always food, always clothing, always education, always love and care. Designed to house children in a family setting, Siempre Para Los Ninos is truly “Always For The Children.” They are our first priority, our purpose for existence. They are our joy. Today, the task remaining before us is to provide for the children. For the Siempre kids, love is freely given by all. But the tangible expression of that love -- the meeting of each child’s needs -- requires more than emotion. Siempre Para Los Ninos is committed to providing food, clothing, shelter, education and love for each child. How much does this commitment cost? We all know the cost of raising children is high. Together, we can keep the promise of always” to every child that calls Siempre “home.” The current need is for the total support of each child living at Siempre. Yet, our dreams do not end there. Now, at this very moment, on the streets of Mexico, are thousands of young children that have been abandoned. Our goal is to be able to build more homes, provide more love and care for these children, too. We do not want to have to turn even one of them away.
What can I do?
